Lawrence is home for Ken. His roots are firmly planted as a 4th generation Lawrencian, 3rd generation Chesty Lion, and his two daughters are each 5th generation Jayhawks. You can count on his love for Lawrence, including its unique history, to be an advantage when selling, or purchasing, your home.
Ken has been in sales his entire life, always focusing on delivering the best care to each client. At age 14, he became an employee in his family’s sporting goods store on Massachusetts Street, Morris Sports. In 1981, Ken started a local commercial silk-screening company focused on team, college bookstore, and ski resort sales. His career with Stephens Real Estate began in 1989, and he quickly became a consistent ‘top producer’ for 21 years. In 2010 he decided to pursue a corporate 100 insurance company position, again rising to ‘top producer’ status.
Ken’s goal has always been to finish his career where he started, in Lawrence, doing what he has enjoyed doing best. Coming back to real estate – and Stephens Real Estate – was an easy decision. His specialty has always been residential sales, with extensive experience in new construction. He can guide clients in making a home market-ready, help buyers see the potential in an existing home, or sit with a builder to help design a new home.
